Excavation & Dirt Work in Bozeman, MT

Excavation and dirt work to support septic installs, repairs, and site prep.

Overview

What makes our excavation & dirt work different

Good dirt work is the foundation under every septic system we install — literally. The excavation sets the tank, lays out the drain field, and gets the grades right so water moves where it's supposed to. We handle the excavation in-house for our septic installs and repairs, and we take on dirt work for property owners across the Gallatin Valley who need a reliable operator.

Most of our excavation ties directly to a septic project — digging for a new tank, trenching a drain field, opening up a failing field for repair, or running a line from the house to the tank. Because we run the equipment ourselves, the install and the dirt work stay coordinated instead of passing between crews that don't talk to each other.

We work around the access we've got. A hillside lot, a long rural driveway, a tight spot between buildings — we bring the right machine for the space and we're careful about what's already on the property. Septic excavation has to respect setbacks, slope, and the soil you've actually got, not the soil someone assumed you had.

If your dirt work is part of a septic install or repair, it's all one project with us. If you need excavation for something else on the property, tell us what you're after and we'll be straight about whether it's a fit.

How It Works

Our process

  1. 1

    Read the site

We look at slope, soil, access, and what's around the work area before we move any dirt.

  2. 2

    Excavate to the plan

We dig for the tank, trench the lines, and lay out the field to the system design.

  3. 3

    Set and backfill

We set the tank, bed and backfill the field, and compact to grade.

  4. 4

    Clean up

We grade the area and leave the site ready for whatever comes next.

FAQ

Excavation & Dirt Work questions, answered

Do you do excavation that isn't part of a septic job?
Most of our dirt work supports a septic install or repair. If you have a standalone excavation need, tell us what it is and we'll be straight about whether it's a fit.
Can you excavate on a steep or rural lot?
Yes. Hillside and rural properties are common for us. We bring the right equipment for the access and work carefully around what's on the site.
Do you handle the backfill and grading too?
We do. We set the tank, bed and backfill the drain field, compact, and grade the area so the site is left ready.
How do you handle access on tight properties?
We match the equipment to the space. If a large machine won't fit, we bring a smaller one. Tell us about the access when you call.
Is the excavation included in a septic install?
For installs and repairs we run, the excavation is part of the project — one crew handles the dirt work and the septic work together.
